Sip and Sniff: Winery Tours With Your Dog in the Yarra Valley
If you love wine and dogs, well this one’s for you! Because all thanks to Gourmet Pawprints, you can now combine your two favourite things – a good glass of wine and your pet.
The Yarra Valley is a stunning wine region growing delicious grapes just outside of Melbourne, Victoria. It is also home to the Gourmet Pawprints dog winery tour, which includes a special massage for your dog and a movie over lunch from the Gourmet Pawprints team.
They will take care of all your dog’s pampering needs and handle your dog’s lead while you enjoy tasting a variety of wines – talk about service! A two-course lunch with a glass of wine and a personalised dog treat is also included for you and your furry friend.
Some of the dog-friendly winery stops along the Yarra Valley include Helens Hill, Helen & Joeys Estate, Yering Farm Wines, Maddens Rise, and Payten & Jones. Each tour includes a stop at an off-leash park so your dog can make the most of their day too!
The pooch-friendly bus departs from Port Melbourne, is climate controlled, and includes both human and doggy seatbelts, blankets, and gift bags. It is recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes early so the dogs can get to know each other and fit in some pre-tour socialising.
The tour approximately runs from 8:30am-5pm and is $200 per person, plus an extra $20 for your furry friend to come along too. You can find more details at https://gourmetpawprints.com.au/doggy-winery-tours/.
